I have created a virtual directory on IIS 5.0, and i map the virtual directory to a folder on my netware server which is running Netware 3.0. In IIS i see an error symbol next to the virtual directory, but when i click at the virtual folder it shows me the contents - which are all correct.

When in the browser i type in the web address and call the virtual folder i get this error:

HTTP 401.1 - Unauthorized: Logon Failed

I am not sure what is wrong, all the permissions are set to high.

Can anyone help

Thanks

How are you getting your IIS server to a NetWare server? With the Gateway for NetWare services, the NetWare client, mapped drive, or what?

Using a NetWare Client

Thanks

check if you have IUSR_SERVERNAME user in netware better to configure local folder with IIS all users will be allowed to view your web, Netware is causing authentication problems..

I hope this will help. iis_guru@yahoo.com
