Hi, all

For a BC12/SP4 is it possible to define "virtual" digital extensions to allow external follow me?

I'm asking this thing because I have an application that dials some digital extensions. Every digital extension has to be configured as Follow me to a different external number.
More exactly I have to define 40 extensions that must point to 40 eternal numbers. But I have only 4 free digital extensions in ELU28 ...

Is there any solution?

Thanks in advance

you can initiate a virtual digital extension with Itype 0

then you can have up to 57 keys. program ADN keys on this extension.

why do you need digital extensions? there are maybe more appropriate solutions...

Virtual extension was mostly used in connection with ACD and Call centers earlier.
Virtual digital extensions were monitored by CTI applications.

Thanks Daddy and doktor for your fast replies

Maybe I wasn't clear enough... My computer application doesn't know to send directly the identity of sender but I observed that: if the application dials a digital extension of ELU28 and if the extension is routed through "External Follow me" to an external number, the receiver will have the identity of sender.

The diagram of the problem:
Windows network sender - NMS CG6000 - MD110[200-<dest.code><prefix#1><dest.No>, ... , 240-<dest.code><prefix#40><dest.No>] - Nortel MERIDIAN network - MD110 - NMS CG6000 - Windows network receiver.

So, if I would have additionally three ELU28 boards, the problem is solved. But as I said I have only 4 ELU28 free extensions.
Otherwise, what can I do? To program the keys of an extension? What would be good for? The computer application doesn't know to point out to a certain key of an extension, only to the extension associated number (200-240 chosen range).

Is there any chance to solve something?

Thanks again

can you set up an ABB with it pointing to an the external number? then when you dial the ABB it will send it to the external number I have a large number of these so somebody with a local COS can call International or cell phones. The CLI will be your pilot number.
