I have a VIO server and a client lpar. Storage has assigned the new netapp luns.

I ran cfgdev on the vio server but when I run lsmap -vadatper vhostX it shows only 1 hdisk assigned to the client lpar that has something like 50 hdisks available.

How do I add the netapp lun over fibre channel on the lpar client so I can create a new volume group and lv's?

Thanks.

You need to define the virtual scsi mappings to associate each disks to virtual adapter

mkvdev -vdev hdiskX -vadapter vhostX -dev vhdiskX

Once this has been done run cfgmgr on the client
