I installed Vines Win98 client 8.62 on a laptop(Aries). After restarting I get a error message: "Cannot access the Vines network services." When I go back to Network Neighbourhood, the Vines Client and Protocol has disappeared.
The hard disk on this laptop has been formatted and only Win98 is installed. The network card(DE660) is working, as I can Ping the Card and the Router.
There is also a Infraread PnP Serial port(*PNP0510), if this is of any help.
We use this Client regularly from the same disk and it always work on other PC's.
Any ideas?

After installing the client check the binding to make sure the right network card is used.

you have to disable the infraread port on you lab top. I have had the same problem and this was the only way to make it work
