I have a MICS with Viking E-30 door phones on it.

System had lost all its programming, I have reprogrammed the KSU but can not remember how the door phones was programmed to release the doors.

They are running through ATA's - I have the voice path opening by Hot-lining the Door/ATA to reception, that works.

Customer says when the Door/ATA calls, she answers; then presses a button on the phone and a code, to open the door.

Does anyone know what that button could have been programmed as???

Thank you in advance for any assistance.

That has nothing to do with E-30, all the E-30 does is ring the phone, you should have another unit either a C-2000B ** will activate the door lstch and release the door

I agree Perrypj what the E-30 does, its just that I did not see any C-2000B or any other relay device on site, just ATA's and the customer saying that they press a button then ***** ;what is the button??? all the physical Trunk ports on the system have Dial-tone and are used in a line pool; so not being used as a dry-loop to trip the relay.

Since no relay device found I am guessing the door strike is connected to the alarm companies box.

"The button" was a speed dial to get that box, maybe dials an external number, device answers and code is entered.

Quick call to alarm company may resolve.

Check if page relay is connected to anything also.

Thanks Curlycord,
I called the alarm company (install tech nolonger there),
Viking and
the company that installed the door phones (Install tech nolonger there also),
all say that there should be a C-2000 or something similar hidden in the building lol;
because its not in the phone, IT &/or electrical/maintenance rooms.
I'll Update once I can find a C-2000 in a 7 story building lol

Ok Tech's Here is the answer... Feature 808 - Long Tones is the Button. also the C-2000B's, one was on the 2nd floor, the other was on the 3rd floor...don't know why,,,all the door phones are on the main floor...smh. have a good day.
