HOw do I get permissions to view users mailboxes without them knowing(for auditing reasons).
I want to be able to go into Outlook and view other users inbox.
I do not want to have to add myself to each mailbox.

Do you already have service account admin rights?
or are you a domain admin?
Can you log in as domain admin?
Usually the domain admin has already been asigned these rights.

I have both DOmain Admin rights and Exchange Service admin rights.
I have logged out and in again.
Still no good.
Any ideas?

What client are you using? I am assuming that you are opening outlook to your own mailbox, and then from tools, services, Microsoft exchange server, advanced, adding the mailbox you want to view.

Yeh I have tried that as well as "File/Open/ other user's folder". Still no access granted.
Do you think I should reset the Exchservice account and log in as that user?

Do not reset the exch service account!
But you could always log in as the exch. service account user if you need to.

Click the domain that the recipients fall into>File>Properties, move onto the permissions tab, add yourself

You should now be able to view all accounts through your own via Outlook>services>properties>advanced>add mailbox

You may need to stop and start the inforformation store for the permissions to take effect

If you can't see the permissions tab click Tools>options>permissions and enable the tab from here
