Howdy Im tracing contours on a map for export to 3ds max to build terrain models with.
I have traced (manually) various lines, but sometimes these lines need to overlap (ie on cliffs) using the same control points, trouble is I cant figure out how to turn all control points on, on all lines so I can replicate where to place the points. Any way to do this?
Any other tips on doing this kind of thing would be handy to - such as when i export bezier splines in dxf Im imagining they dont keep their bezier controls, do they add more vertices to maintain a curve and if so can i view these before export or possibly convert the line myself into a non bezier mode?
Heaps of thanks in advance.
Have a good day

Sorry I should have said Im using Corel Draw Ver 7 for windows

Hijobw,

The following steps will explain how to activate control points or(nodes, as they are called in corel)for single and multiple contour lines.

for single contour line
-select the object
-then select the shape tool located second to the pick tool on the tool bar (you may have to hover over that are to see it if it's not visible)
-to activate one point just click on it...for multiple activation either drag a selection box around them or hold down the Ctrl key while clicking each point you want activated. Then grab one point and the others that were activated will move simultaneously

FOR MULTIPLE CONTOUR LINES
-select each object
-click on the Combine button or go to Arrange then Combine
-then, to activate one point just click on it...for multiple activation either drag a selection box around them or hold down the Ctrl key while clicking each point you want activated. Then grab one point and the others that were activated will move simultaneously
