Hi,

Is there a way to view what time an Exchange user initially opened a message in their inbox?

Thanks.

What is the reasoning behind asking the question? Proactive or reactive?

It's reactive. "Hey! Can you tell me when so-and-so opened an email?"

I've come across some info that leads me to believe that I would have had to have some logging turned on.

Yes, you can't check now when an email was opened a while ago but you can put things in place to be able to check from now on.

That could be useful for future reference. Do you know what those things would be?

I was looking for something more on the system level for auditing purposes that can be retrieved through Exchange Management SHell.

Anyone?

AFAIK, there is nothing on a message, other than read/unread status, that shows when a message was opened. And, since read/unread is unreliable, I don't think you're going to have much luck.
