When I right click on an object and choose "View HTML Source", I would expect to go straight to the code for that object selected like in FrontPage. When I do this, it just goes to the first line, and I must search to find the object. Is this the way it is suppose to work? Thanks.

ok, depends on what app you are using...

visual studio? visual web developer? notepad?

I am in vb.net creating the application when this is happening. Thanks.

VB.NET is a language, not an IDE. What IDE are you using?

oh, and how dare you use a bad word like FrontPage!

ok, you are in design view, looking at wysiwyg, click to select the object, then at the bottom u should have a couple tabs that say Design and Code; Click the Code Box.

do you still get same results?

Yeah, I know FrontPage is horrible. I have been handcoding for awhile now and am finding myself cussing ASP.net. I hate this WYSIWYG stuff.

I clicked on an object, and I have two buttons below named Design and HTML. When I click on the HTML button, it just takes me back to where I left off the last time I looked at the HTML.

i started in notepad;

i use Visual Web Developer (free web only VStudio) now, when i select an object, and jump to HTML, it bolds the start and end tags of the last selected object. when i move around in html, and go back to design, it select in the wizzy the object i was editing in HTML.

i tore through the options, but dont see any related. VS has similar options, but i resolve to "dunno, it should"

I figured it was a nice 'feature' that wasn't included. Thanks.
