Hi there
Has anyone setup the Video Softphone application to be used in conjuntion with CCR.
Essentially I need agent functionality on the softphone, such as login/logout, DND, ACW and huntgroup enable/disable.
I can use the system shortcodes, but if the agent is a member of alot of groups then I run out of feature buttons to use.
Am I missing something important to get this functionality without having to use the feature keys and shortcodes?
Thanks in advance for any help offered

It is not supported but you could give it a shot.

Brave man doing Softphone in a call centre!!

You seriously need to think about hardphones.

Hi guys, thanks for the response, you know how sales people are, give them anything and they will sell it.

So Phone Manager is on the exit strategy, so even using that in agent mode is not a survivable plan either.

The generic shortcodes work, but you need one for DND on and one for DND off, same with Huntgroup Enable etc. Consumes the feature buttons.

Do you know if there is a plan for softphone as an agent appllication? I think they are going to maybe roll out home working on this one?

Thanks in advance

If i would use a softphone then it will be the new softphone and not the phone manager softphone.

Hi!

I've got a customer running CCR & 6 Video softphones.
Had some issues in the start-up phase, but works well now.

As tlpeter pointed out, hardphones are the recommended way to go, but in this case the customer demanded softphones.

Make sure that the pc's are on the same subnet as the IPO and server(s), or you might experience some strange problems on the lisencing (so stay clear of telecommuting).

regards

Gunnar
