video problem

hey folks,
anyone know how to stop a linux machine from shutting down the video display after x minutes. i have a machine on my desk booted to the CLI and that is how i use it but the video signal (not the monitor) kick off after 10 minutes of in activity. any thoughts? i know from the gui i could solve the problem but as i said i run from the CLI. Thanks folks

try adding this to your startup script:

setterm -blank off
xset s off
xset -dpms
