Hello,

We are currently having an issue where we cannot get our video phones to work across our fiber connection between 2 locations. We have 3 Cisco 3850's in a cluster that is connecting to another 3 switch 3850 cluster using a 10GB fiber connection. If we plug the phone into the same location the video will work so we know the phones are configured correctly. As soon as we take the phone to the other office that is connected through the fiber, the video will not work. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what might be causing the problem? Other than the video, the phones are working fine.

Cisco IP 9971
Cisco UCM v.10.5.1.10000-7
Cisco 3850 POE switches

Thanks,
Gavin

Are you using call manager for video, so just the native capabilities?
Or is there a vcs or/and mcu as well?

Have you tried adding a new phone, never connected to the main site and connect it to the troubled site? Does the phone register at all?

Thanks for the reply. Turns out that there is a setting on the call manager under system/location where the video was set to none when going across locations. We turned on the setting and the video is now working.

Thanks,
Gavin
