Does anyone know if there is a way to tell if a user has disabled the on a 9951 or 9971 phone without actually going to the phone and looking at the preferences and seeing that it's been turned off? This if for CUCM 8.5.
Right-but a user can turn it off from their phone. I'd like to know if it's possible to tell if a user has turned it off without actually going to the phone and checking the video on/off in the phone preferences. It does not change on the phone config page in cucm admin.
Can you web into the phone and look at that option that way? try that.
I'm surprised to hear that the video option on the admin web page does not change with an end user phone change.
I have webbed to the phone and as long as the video is enabled on the device page in CUCM that's what it shows. It doesn't change if the end user changes it. I figure that has to be some way to tell but I haven't been able to find it yet.
