Video keeps changing 1

Good morning
I have a problem with XP, for some reason the video setting keeps resetting its self to 8 bit from 32 bit.
I have to constantly keep changing it back.
I have not installed any sofware resently and virus checks come up with nothing.
The other thing which is strange is my wife has her own sign on which is not affected.
Any thoughts any one ?

I believe you have answered your own question: it is likely a corrupt user profile. Create a newuser, logon once as the new user (to create the bones of a new profile), and then logon as Administrator and follow:

Another possible approach is to use MultiRes (freeware):

Use the command line option and place a small .bat or .cmd in your Startup folder.
