Has anybody ever heard of a problem with video files causing the processor usage to immediately go to 100% and lock the system? Seems to happen with all formats (wmv, avi, mov, rm, etc) and all players (Windows Media, Apple Quicktime, Real Realplayer, etc.) I have tried every anti-virus, anti-spyware, and anti-rootkit software I can find but without success. I have tried uninstalling everything that plays video and then reinstalling, but still not luck. I have Win XP Pro SP2, 933MHz PIII, ATi Radion 7000. Just hoping I don't have to reformat and reinstall. I thought maybe there was a bad codec, but I have no idea how to diagnose or fix such as problem.
