Hello to all...

Question: If the system in a PC uses SDRAM on the motherboard and I want to purchase an AGP video card that has DDRAM, will the video card work? Does the card have to have SDRAM on it? Also, if will work, will I need to play around with anything else other than the hardware acceleration and/or refresh rate?

Actually the memory on the system and the video card are independant from each other, You should be able to put the card in. Of more concern is what version is the agp port on the mother board? As most newer video cards only support 1.5 volt, won't work in the older 3.3 volt agp slots. Some motherboards have slot that is compatable with both so check your manual.

Thanks, rclarke250. The motherboard in the PC has a 1.3Mhz AMD Athalon processor, which says that it's a newer board.

it's better to get a video card that uses ddr instead of sdr. it's faster.
