im using asus p5pe-vm that uses a ddr 400 memory. Can i use nvdia geforce 7600gs agp video card? considering the video card uses ddr2? thanks

Yes, as long as your board has an agp slot in it, you can use any agp card made now and days in it without any problem.

The type on ram the video card has on it is totally irrelevant by the way.
Just because your main system memory happens to be DDR400 does not restrict the totally seperate memory on the graphics card to the same type. You could infact fit the superior 7600GT which happens to have the faster DDRIII type and will be just as compatible as long as it is an AGP card.
The 7600GS is still a very good card also consider the 7300GT which is almost as quick.
Either way it is going to be a vast improvement over the Intel ExtremeII graphics found on the 865G chipset, which to be honest are "EXTREME"........ Extremely slow lol.

I think 1 question you do need to know is, if the PSU in your PC is powerful enough to power the card. Anything under 400Watt and it may not work properly.

Always worth checking your PC/Motherboard manufacturers website, as these normally list a compatibility listing for Graphics cards.
