Hi,

I was having some issues with Microsoft Office Communicator when connected on a VPN via a Cisco ASA. When 2 users try to start a voice or video session, the other user just sees a black screen. However, it works between user to user on the inside, and between an inside user and a VPN user on the outside. The following logs come up, which are a bit strange because it seems as though the connection is made between the users, but no data is sent:

6|Jan 15 2007 11:17:55|302016: Teardown UDP connection 144885 for outside:172.20.9.8/25926 to outside:172.20.9.9/9100 duration 0:00:00 bytes 0 (john)
6|Jan 15 2007 11:17:55|302016: Teardown UDP connection 144886 for outside:172.20.9.8/55628 to outside:172.20.9.9/39668 duration 0:00:00 bytes 0 (john)

Any ideas?

Cheers

I forgot to mention, that I also tried the 'fixup protocol sip' command, but that actually stopped Microsoft Office Communicator working all together (i.e. from even logging into the server).

Do you have
same?security?traffic permit intra?interface
in the config?
It could also be an ACL issue.

Ahhh, thanks for that - I hadn't permitted the intra interface communication. I assume this only applies to VPN users as per the description?

It's for traffic that has to come in and then go out the same interface. Previously (6x code) it wasn't allowed for security reasons I presume.
