Hello

I reciently purchased an aviosys ip video 9100a video network server. I can get it to work on my pc with a camera plugged into it but I can not view it via the web (as im meant to) I am new to all this and was wondering if anybody had a basic guide of how to install and get working video over ip for this devise. Please help

This is how you can access the jpeg images without the default web page. The stream is a continuous loop of jpegs with the marker:
"--WINBONDBOUDARY
content image/jpeg"
between each image.
The images do not come as round robin no matter what you put in as command. To see what channel the image comes from, look at byte 15. In hex there should be FF E2 00 04 [byte15]. I made a java program to look for markers and throw them out and saved the jpeg image to string and them decoded using sun.com.image.codec.JPEGCodec.

For default page, it best viewed in IE, because only their activeX control accounts for the images not being round robin. Then you should just be able to view with server address>.
the pure image stream and java applet have nothing to put images in proper placement.
make sure you open the ports on any firewall you have installed.

At last! Some hard information. I have deduced some info on the IP9x00 and have written it up at

I can switch channels in a IP9100 from a Visual Basic program but it seems a slow process and I get garbled half frames at switch over. I want two live streams, as fast as possible, from two cameras connected to two of the inputs for a stereo pair. Any idea how to do this with a web page or VB on Windows2000?

How can I use the stream you mention in VB or a Web page?
