I purchased a couple Cisco routers from eBay in order to learn Cisco routing. I have a question regarding the use of the VIC-2E&M cards. Can I set up 2 routers with the VIC-2E&M in each one and pass audio over the WAN side of the routers? I'm looking for a point to point audio channel that's always active.
Here at work we have an Adtran TSU600 with E&M cards that do this exact thing; no dial tone, no on/off hook; whatever makes sound on the remote side we hear at the base side (both directions in 4 wire mode). We use this for telemetry modems at our remote site but it's over an Adtran Tracker T1 radio. Can the same thing be done with 2 Cisco routers and the VIC-2E&M cards via TCP/IP?
Thanks,
Brad
