VGWQosAlarmGenerate messages

Hey all, i have a 7.5 CS1K and for the life of me, i cant figure out what keeps throwing these messages.... "LOG006 VGW: vgwQoSAlarmGenerate: QoS Alarm is suppressed because alarm notification is tuend off". I have tried countless combinations of settings on my system to no avail. A little background i am using SIP trunking between my two CS1K systems and SIP trunking to multiple IP Office systems tail sites. I have plenty of SIP access port licenses on the CS1K and the IPO systems have plenty of SIP trunk licenses. The codecs in use is G711 and are throughout the same, but i notice the error on both CS1K systems. These errors dont occur all the time, but various times throughout the day and i cant seem to find the culprit of this. So any help resolving this would be appreciated before i have no other choice than open a ticket. Thanks again

It sounds like your system is seeing QOS issues but isn't allowed to generate the warnings or alarms. Licensing and trunking ports would have little to do with QOS warnings. It's more likely that you would have lost, delayed or improperly tagged packets. You should get your network side involved to do some packet captures to better identify if there is actually a problem, and if so how to address it.

Hey thanks for the helpful insight. I still have not resolved this issue. Yes i understand its not service impacting, but more so an annoyance. It all started when i installed a large tail site IP Office system with 200+ ATA adapters. Now it could be that the ATA adapters (Cortelco 8211) are just cheap being that they only costed $10ea (get what you pay for right?) or something else in the setup. I checked all my codec settings and everything is using G711 across the board. All MGC/MGXPECS, IP Office system, etc. have been tested and all PASS. So im sure i left out other pertinant details, as i have scoured this issue for some time now. so if anyone knows how to clear up this issue, im all eyes!!

If you turn on QOS alarm and warning logging in LD 117 the outputs actually tell you the TN's and zones associated to the warnings and that can help you determine what is happening. I suspect that currently your system is set at logging level 0

Change the Notification Level for all zones, where:
level = 0-(2)-4, where:
- Level 0 = All voice quality alarms are suppressed.
- Level 1 = Allow zone-based Unacceptable alarms.
- Level 2 = Allow all level 1 alarms PLUS zone-based Warning
alarms.
- Level 3 = Allow all level 1 and 2 alarms PLUS per-call
Unacceptable alarms.
- Level 4 = Allow all level 1, 2, and 3 alarms PLUS per-call
Warning alarms.
