Hi Guys,

We are installing a VGMC32s in cs1K Rls 5 with SS 5, we receive on serial conection jus autobooting message.

What can i do to resolve this problems, we found a nortel bulletin about that, but just tell that we have to get conection with L Conector and exchange the set the card to follower, but we can not pass from auto booting message.

Any ideas

Have you gone into the node properties in the SS and put the elan mac address to register it?

hi, i have not access to the mc32s, beacuse i can not set the ip address, for this reason i can not reach the node.

What can i do?

You have to have the mac address registered in Element manager so that when the card boots it receives the file from the call server. At this point you can use the L connector.

MC32s is set up in SS Node config then as the MC boots up it is passed the IP INFO via BootP. Are you saying that you have set the MC32s up on Element manager in the Node config done a save and transfer then booted the MC32 and it fails?

The MC32S has never done successfully " save and tranfer ", we try it, equally as the previous MC32 was programmed, placing the ip and mac addres, and transferring, but simpre fails.

I ask: does the card MC32S work in CS1000M Rls 4,5? actually I am doing the tests this way.

The final client have Rls 5.0.

Never trust those 2 MAC addresses label at the front, boot the MC32 and get the mac address from the screen.

Connect Serial to the MC32S. Read the message on the screen`! Type setLeader " IP" Gateway" "Subnet"
After this you can transfer all by Element Manager. Dont forget the firmwareupgrade`after transfer.

This is the MC32S Gold Image. The vxWorks Image on /p/mainos.sys failed to load
The system has not been installed or there is a problem with the compact flash
Please use setLeader command to enter networking parameters.
Then Install system software using Element Manager or TM

MG32S is only supported on 5.0 or later.

A MC32S Card is for Release 5.0 and higher

Don´t use the serial port on the frontpanel !!! Connect your pc on the sub d9 connector.

Correct M1spezi, we are connected in the DB9, not in the frontpanel.
