The VFP7.0 reame on the CD includes the line

Note Installation on Windows NT 4.0, Terminal Server Edition is not supported.

Does anyone know what the implications of this is for distributing applications in VFP7?

It simply means that they haven't tested and certified it with TS. I know of quite a few sites using a VFP 7 app on a Citrix/TS farm with over 350 users.

Glen, Ed,
If I read it correctly, there is no problem with running VFP 7.0 apps on TS, but rather you can't install the VFP 7.0 Development version on TS. This is the same situation with Win95 - Dev: No, Apps: Yes.

Thanks both of you

Ed:

We have an upcoming project which may involve running an app for a mixture of NT/Mac users, and we're thinking that Citrix may be a way of giving the Mac users access. Do you have any issues/comments that we should bear in mind when exploring this approach.

Thanks

I haven't heard of anything out of the ordinary (such as limiting screen redraws, etc.). One thing that was necessary in our app was to train users not to doodle with the mouse while talking on the phone, etc. - turns out that that was causing the CPU on the server to spike at 100% and network traffic to increase, since it had to process every single movement.
