Hi all!

It's been a while since the last time i posted a question. Anyway, here is my issue. I've been using Ramani's "A quick form to show your PDF files within VFP. faq184-4267" for quite a while now and our management wanted NOT to allow printing and/or saving of the document being viewed. I know it is close to impossible to remove them so maybe i'll just try to just display a message and cancel the job if the user clicks on the print or save button. Problem is, i dunno how to do it. Am, again, asking you guys for any help to at least point me to the right direction.

Thanks in advanced. Peace! [peace]

Hi all!

Well somehow am halfway there as i was able to hide the toolbar initially. But when i press F8, it's there again. I tried using INKEY() and ON KEY commands but both didn't affect the activex control. Can we possibly disable F8 just for the current viewing session only?

Thanks again in advanced. Peace! [peace]

Another thing am considering is the use of MenuItemRemove and ToolButtonRemove. Does anyone know how to implement this in VFp6?

Thanks again. Peace! [peace]

Hi all,

I was able to achieve what I wanted but not thru the use of Adobe Reader's ActiveX Control. I used Brava's Free PDF Reader ActiveX and now I can control the toolbars and the shortcut menu comprehensively. Unlike Adobe Reader's ActiveX, Brava's have more detailed properties that anyone can completely manipulate. What I like best with it is it's unbelievably fast speed in opening an PDF file. They also have a programmer's reference in their download area. They also have this free drawing viewer which can also be easily integrated with your apps.

For those who are having a hard time taming Adobe's ActiveX, why not give this one a try.

Thanks y'all. Peace! [peace]
