Matt's blog post is only partially correct. VFP will run on Win8, if you have an Intel processor. It will not run on Win8 running on an ARM processor. It will not run in "Metro" mode, only in desktop.

I wonder if it will run on something like the Microsoft Surface Pro? That's Windows 8, with an Intel processor. But I'm not sure about the Metro interface.

It should since it's Intel-based and has a desktop mode. I'm planning to get one after the first of the year.
