Hello VFP users and weedz,

Dear weedz, thanks for your information.

At the moment I get my icon at the top left corner.

The only problem is now: how do I get my icon on the Micro Soft Office buttons.
The VFP icon is still appearing on the button of my VFP executable and you can see it also on the Windows explorer.

Nice regards,

Michelle.

Michelle,

I recognize this problem, I used to have this one as well when I used VFP 5.0.
I remember that it did not show the VFP icon on a machine that did not have VFP installed.
Have you tried it on a machine without VFP installed ??

HTH,

Weedz

Hello Weedz,

an Other application, also made on this machine, showes the Micro Soft Office button with the right icoon.
I am using VFP 5.0A it is not possible to try an other machine.

NR,

Michelle.

The icon is of the correct size?
Eg: 16x16 and 32x32 ?
Simple check: in Explorer use [view] [large icons] and [Small icons]

To elaborate on what Diederik said, you need to have 2 images in your .ico file. One 16x16 and one 32x32.

Hello helpfull users,

You gave me the right solution.
The not working icon has a size of 766 bytes.
The working icon has a size of 1.05 Kbytes.

Because I don't have an icon editor I can't say anything about the fysic size but I do think that the 766 bytes one has a fysik size of 16x16.

Thanks a lot for your effort,

Michelle.

PS, is there on the net a good icon editor?

Included with VFP 5.0 is a Microsoft utility called ImagEdit.
A 'good' icon editor it is not, but at least you can make the right sized icons with it.

Hallo Diederik Vermeeren,

When I see your name I do think you are Dutch like me (or maybe Belgium).

Its working with the icoon editor.

Again thank you very much / Hartelijk bedankt.

Michelle.
