Hi I think the subject line says everything =P. I did include vfat/msdos/win95 file systems but they are not supported by the kernel for some reason. Did i go wrong somewhere???

Heres my /usr/src/linux-2.6.0/.config file
#
# DOS/FAT/NT Filesystems
#
CONFIG_FAT_FS=m
CONFIG_MSDOS_FS=m
CONFIG_VFAT_FS=m
# CONFIG_NTFS_FS is not set

Is it because I built them as modules?

Thanx.

Yes and no.
You should be able to access vfat-drives after loading the modules:

modprobe vfat

(I'm not sure about the module-name)
You find them at:

/lib/modules/2.6.0/kernel/fs/

maybee your soundproblems are similar.

I recompiled the kernel with the vfat support built in and the problem didnt reoccur =). Dunno about the sound =(
