Very Strange with DHCP.

Hi.

I have a Win2000 Srv SP4 with DHCP.
The problem is that when i test the directions in Any Pc, it works ok, (Ping, Ipconfig Renew and Release), the problem is that when i try to check the Exchange Mail and other aplications in my Server, it do not work, the only way to access the resources is giving an Static IP to the PCs.
I already Reset my DHCP and the result is the Same.

Any Idea?

What is your static IP and what is your dynamic IP?

Make sure your default gateway and Primary DNS server are specified in the dhcp settings of your dhcp server.

The problem is that when i test the directions in Any Pc, it works ok, (Ping, Ipconfig Renew and Release) Are you sure it's working? Can the pc's connect to the internet with an ip from dhcp? Can the pc's ping each other? Have you tried to flush the dns? Good luck.

Give the machine a static IP, then run: ipconfig /all from the command line and post the results here. Then, use a machine to obtain a dynamic IP, then run: ipconfig /all from the command line again. Also post the results there. I think it's a configuration issue with your scope.

Probably the scope options are not set on the DHCP server. Do what Silentrain says: give a machine a static IP address and if everything works fine do a ipconfig /all. Note the default gateway, DNS servers, DNS suffix, WINS servers, Node type and apply these settings on the DHCP server.
