Very Slow Cursors in ASE 11.9.2 and 12.0

Is anyone experiencing very slow cursors in ASE version 11.9.2 or 12.0. After I upgraded my server to both of those versions, sequentially, from version 11.0.3, my procs that are using cursors are running painfully slow.

Wonder if there is a config param to tweak? TIA.

I usualy don't use cursors, but when I use temporary tables there is a bit to do with the syntax for improving speed. Some technical / syntax info will be nice.
