Hi All,

It seems a stupid question but I hope anyone can help me out here.

In Photoshop and Illustrator, there is a Vertical Type Tool. It allow words type in from the top to bottom in every single line. However, I couldn't find the tool in Indesign. I doubt it because Indesign is a publishing tool and shall have more functions on typography. I need this function since I'm handling a mulit-language book publishing which contains more than 200k words, Just can't do it on Type path tool...

Please help me out.

I use CS (3) and there is no vertical type tool.

On the very rare occasion I need it I do A return B return, C return etc.

Using OSX 10.3.9 on a G4

Thanks for your advise, however it just not work on this way. I'm doing a 200k words book... can't imagine to do the "ENTER" and "line break" word by word...

Use your Table feature, even if you have 1 cell. You will be able to rotate the text by 90 degrees for the full 360.
