That message will pop up if your version of PCPro is older than your software. Upgrade PCPro to the latest version available and try again. Try pressing feature + 3 to see what version your system is.
I had this problem. Tried it on a few computers, nothing. Uninstalled and installed version 10 and it worked. You must uninstall old version first (so they say, crap software). Then install latest version you can get. Try a different download if one doesn't work. NEC software and going about things is pretty stone age with software and crude error reporting, so the error message and issue, who knows. Maybe move any NEC data files from the folders as well. Have to create a new file before connecting I think.
