Version of Bind

How can i to see the version of installed bind?? acrros line command.

If named is in your shell path:

named -v

I should also add the obligatory:

man named

Sorry, but if you have a AIX 5.1 with Bind 9.2.2 of UCLA, yo can`t execute: named -v, this don`t exist....

You could query the DNS server from a Windows box via DOS.

nslookup
server=<your_DNS_server>
set type=txt
set class=chaos
version.bind
