Searched and can't find this one. IP office v10.0.0.3.0 build 5 with analog trunks and 95xx phones. I had a problem with group paging, where anytime someone paged, the sound like a DTMF tone was overriding the voice of the page coming through all sets. It didn't matter who was paging, all they could hear was that dang tone. Finally narrowed it down to one phone that, when unplugged, the problem went away. Remember, this particular phone may or may not have been the one initiating the peage. I replaced it, and no more issues. Until today, that is. One phone in the office of 24 sets is hearing that tone. User can unplug the phone, let it sit a few seconds, and then she can hear pages normally. I replaced that set and all was good until I got back to the office. Doing it again now. Any ideas where to start? I'm scratching my head. For what it's worth, both of the units that have been replaced are on the same DS8 card in the first slot.
Thanks in advance,
DT

Best place to start would be to upgrade to 10.1. It should be a free upgrade. 10.x it's self didn't last too long. If you are using any 5410 phones don't use 10.1.2.

Sorry, folks, for the long delay. Here's an update and a plea for more help. I upgraded to 10.1, all was good for a few days, and then it started again. I replaced the DS8 module, same results. I ordered a new control unit and swapped it out. It was good for one day and now is doing it again. A few more details: One phone in the 8 on that card will do the tone. If you unplug that phone and let it sit a minute, then plug it back in, another phone on that card will start doing it, maybe immediately, maybe in an hour, maybe in a day. When the tone is occurring, all other phone functions on that set are normal, as well as all other sets. It only happens on the 9508 sets on the first card. All other phones in the clinic are 9504, and all trunks coming in are analog. THe DS8 has an analog trunk daughter card on it, but it has been replaced also. The only thing left besides the wiring is to replace every 9508 phone set. Pulling whats left of my hair out! Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
DT

One more thing: Of the 24 systems I have in place, this is the only one this has ever happened on.

Maybe SOMEONE has seen this? Anyway, I swapped out all phones on the card today with brand new 9508 sets. It worked great for about 3 hours. That makes the system unit, the DS-8 card, the ATM4V2 card, and all phones on that card that have been swapped out. I would surely appreciate any other ideas.

I would put in a ticket to Avaya if you purchased IPOSS.

It could be coruption on the SD card or config..

Either recreate the SD card.
Or erase the config and start from scratch...

If you have a spare SD card you could try to upload the Config to it first and see if the problem goes away..
If it does then you will know it's something to do with the SD card or config

Worth trying seeing you changed every thing else.

Also have you tried deleting the page group..save the config...then recreate the page group and save it back

Many a thing has been fixed this way...you never know with the ipo.

Crossing my fingers that this is resolved. Since the site is over an hour away, I replaced all 8 9508 sets in question. No issues since then. I have set them all up here in the shop to see if the problem comes back up. At the site, it's been a week with no issues. Previous attempts have never lasted more than a couple of hours.
