We have just installed veritas and it works great, except in the morning before it has it's coffee, the laptops boot fine, but when the backup tries to runand then Outlook opens and the McAfee tries to scan email, it gives several errors all regarding to cannot find files. The backup finishes up but takes 35 to 40 minutes. Other people run the backup later on in the day and no problems at all. This isn't a big deal, but I thought I would see if anyone has heard this before. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I won't help you at all,
in France we call it the "Murphy's law" (something like the maximum problems law).
Try to give it some tea.

Sorry again...
;-)

Hi Coyoteman
Try stopping the McAfee. Veritas has a bpstop and bpstart script which can do this for you. I stops the anti virus when the backup starts and starts it up again. Another possibility is to turn off the scanning of outbound files in Mcafee. This will also do wonders for backup performance.
