Hi, I am pretty lost on this phone system. I have a phone that I suspect has outgoing calls blocked. How can I verify the programming of the phone and unblock if it is blocked?

Thanks in advance!
Scott

prt it, look at CLS if FRE chg to CTD, if already CTD or UNR, bump up the NCOS and test.

Thanks for the reply.
I can log in to the console, but after that, it's greek to me, as they say. I humbly ask for a more basic breakdown of how exactly to do those things?

Thanks
Scott

look's like it is going to be TGAR and/or NCOS prt a set that CAN dial out, and match TGAR/NCOS on that set to this one. Done and done.

Mato' Was'aka

Ok, the first one I posted was a phone that works fine. The second one is the phone that can't make outgoing calls. I don't see a lot of differences between them, but again, I don't really know what I'm looking at.

I do appreciate all the tips so far.

looks the same as other one ncos and tgar wise. Did you prt one that CAN dial out and compare those 2 setting?

Mato' Was'aka

Yeah, the first one (TN 240 0 01 28) dials out fine. The second (TN 240 0 01 27) is my problem phone.

those sets are in the same zone, same ncos, same tgar. can the 1st set dial the same number the 2nd set is trying to dial? There is no difference between the 2 sets.

Mato' Was'aka

I do not work w/ 1140's however, so I would not know if there is an option on the phone itself to prevent dialing AC1 (usually 9) or anything like that. But the sets restrictions are the same and they should be able to dial respective numbers.

Mato' Was'aka

I agree with BigI. I see no reason why it shouldn't work. What do you get when you attempt an outbound call? Fast Busy, dead air, recording?

Thanks a lot for the answers you have given me. I now know how to compare phone configs, find the TN, etc.

After the last couple comments I checked out a vehicle and drove to the office having this problem. One of the soft-keys on the phone was stuck down. It wasn't a programming thing at all.

sorry about all that. The user's description of the problem, coupled with the remote location led me to certain ASSumptions.

I really do appreciate the helping hand!
Scott
