How can I verify raid 5 on an S8800. I did check the server in putty with the command raid_status -v. But what exact output from that command tells me I'm at raid 5? Is it just that their is 3 HDD and thats it?
thanks in advance,
Hudson22
raid_status -n (check number of hard disks)
raid_status -n -v (check hard disk status, verbose)
raid_status -n -s (check hard disk status, short)
raid_status -s (check short drive data)
raid_status -p -v (check array status) Builds MegaSAS.log in current directory
raid_bbu_check -d
raid_bbu_hdl_alms

Thanks for the response Brett,
But still looking at the output and I can't decipher whether its raid 5 or not.
Any further suggestion is appreciated.
