Hi,
I am using Crystal Designer 7.0....The database is SQL Server 7.0....Now there are certain changes in design of tables in my database....I have a large number of reports...Is there any way that i can verify the databse in these reports as a group instead of opening each report and verifying it...Hope i have explained my problem clearly...Thanks for any help....

Hi,

If the new fields in your tables are not going to be used in the report, there should be no need to verify the database. You should only need to do this if you wish to change an existing report to include new fields or tables.

Thanks for the reply...I know that i have to verify databse only if the report uses the changed tables....we had a change in table which is used in almost every report...that is my problem...hence i wanted to know whether there are any tools which might help me speed up the process....

Hi,

you say the table has changed.

Has the table retained all the original fields that were present? If so, and you have not changed the report since the table was updated then the report should get away without being verified.

You can set a report to 'verify on every print' and it will verify each time before it runs, however, it doesn't save the result so it slows down the run of the report every time.

I don't know of a utility to batch verify reports, and I have read about all of the 3rd party tools that I can find. If you find one let me know, I would like to add it to the list on my web site.
