Just wanted to get others opinions on this situation after reading all of the pertinent tech bulletins.

Main location: IP406DSV2 (might be a PCS no. of 4,5,or6)

Currently at 2.1 (27)

My proposed upgrade procedure:
2.1 (73)
3.0 (69)
3.0 (999)if applicable for the PCS version
3.1 (65)
3.1 (999)if applicable for the PCS version
3.2 (17)

Remote locations: all 403DS
Currently at 2.1 (27)

My proposed upgrade procedure:
2.99 (1000)
2.1 (73)
3.0 (69)
3.1 (65)
3.2 (17)

Reason for upgrade - adding a new remote site and wants Mobile twinning at a couple of the sites.

Would anyone do this differently? I checked all of the TBs forward from the last 2.1 and this is what I believe is the safest way to go to keep the databases in check to.

Thanks in advance,

Good Morning! read your post ..."I have had for the last few releases the same problem with a 5410 digital set on a Small Office Edition. It doesn't seem to show up when on a call, but the analog and other digital (44xx) and IP set (4620) do. Weird.

Does anyone have any thoughts on the upgrade procedure?

I strongly suggest reading the release notes. All Technical Bulletins with new releases describe the exact upgrade procedures and what intermediate steps need to be taken for certain models.

All documents can be found at or contact your distributor and they should have them.

The Technical Bulletins not only describe the upgrade procedure but also new features, bug fixes and know bugs and should be read before any upgrade.

In saying that, you can go straight from 2.1 to 3.0 on an IP406v2. After that it depends on your PCS level whether you need to go via the intermediate version before going to 3.1 and again to 3.2. Check the Technical Bulletin for exact details.
