I sent a purchase requisition to a company for a desktop computer. For the processor, I wrote the following:

Code:
Intel Core 2 Duo Processor E6300
Clock Speed: 1.86 GHz
Bus Speed: 1066 MHz

When I received the desktop computer, a sticker was present on the CPU box. The following is written on the sticker:

Code:
Intel Core Duo inside

BIOS shows the following:

Code:
Processor Type:
Intel (R) Core(TM) 2 CPU
6300 @ 1.86 GHz
Intel (R) EM64T Capable

In the Device Manager, under Processors, it shows:

Code:
Intel (R) Core (TM)2 CPU 6300 @1.86 GHz
Intel (R) Core (TM)2 CPU 6300 @1.86 GHz

How can I verify that the processor is the same that I requested, because nowhere it is written that it is Intel Core 2 Duo Processor.

Thank you.

I downloaded and used Intel's Processor ID Utility and it showed the logo of intel Core 2 Duo inside in the Frequency Test tab.

Obviously if the BIOS is showing it, the device manager is showing it...then it is what it is.

Gotta have a good eye though, thanks to Intel's continued tradition of stupid naming schemes.
