I have a Vector with a route step to a cell phone number, which no longer works. I did a list trace and it is going to the correct step and I can see the cell number but it just drops with no error. It use to work but something must have changed. Does the number need to be programmed some where else to allow it to go off PBX?
CM 6.3

Thanks.

How are you calling the number? from the inside or coming in from the outside?

The call is being routed out of the vector to an outside line, so I guess form inside to outside.

Thanks.

Can you call the cell phone from any other phone in the phone system?

What happens when you trace the call on the trunk it goes out on?

I can reach the cell number from the phone system with out issue, the call isn't getting to the trunk. I have not been maintaining the system in some time but my assumption is it has something to do with the area code. I am in the 518 zone and a while ago we changed where we now have to dial the code even though it is a local number. Is there some where that gives permission for that number to get off pbx and I just need to add the 518? Does this make sense?

COR of the VDN that routes to the Vector has permissions to call out?

Yes it does. This was working in the past.

Thanks

Are you sending all digits? ie. 91+ number.
What Tenets are being used?
And what locations? if you have locations set then check the ARS table for that location.

All digits are being sent and the ars location is set to all. IS there another table that I should be looking at? I would think that the cell would need "permission" to go off pbx.

Thanks

Look at system parameters coverage, is Coverage Of Calls Redirected Off-Net Enabled?,also you could make an entry in ars for the cell number and route the call out on a different trunk. Worth a try

Here's a screen grab of the vector in question...

Aren't you missing a 91 to get out of the pbx assuming 9 is your ars access code?

I was assuming the same thing. We'll have to test it later. Thou, we don't need the 1 just the full 10 digit phone number.

I do not need the one and have tried it with the 9 as the leading digit.

I have tried the number with and without the 9.

Can you try to make an entry in ars for the cell number, then add a new route pattern that will force the call out on a different trunk if available, worth a try until you can figure out the issue.

I figured it out, it was an FRL issue.

Thanks for all the replies.

Then Stinney was correct on this then, thanks for the update.
