Today I have this:
VDN 8200
VECTOR 1
01 wait-time 3 secs hearing ringback
02 collect 4 digits after announcement 7900
03 route-to number 0 with cov n if digit = 0
04 route-to digits with coverage y
05 wait-time 3 secs hearing silence
06 announcement 7901
07 wait-time 1 secs hearing silence
08 collect 4 digits after announcement 7900
09 route-to number 0 with cov n if digit = 0
10 wait-time 3 secs hearing silence
11 announcement 7901
12 route-to number 7801 with cov n if unconditionally
13 stop

Announcements
7901 Caller not responded
Sorry, you have not responded

7902 Call will be disconnected
Your call will now be disconnected. Thank you for your call and have a pleasant day

7900 Welcome Greeting
Thank you for calling. Please key in the 4 digit extension of the person your trying to reach.

VDN 7801 - Disconnect line
Vector 2
01 wait-time 1 secs hearing silence
02 announcement 7902
03 stop

What we would like to have is an interception on 8200 to go to a human on their extension. And when they are not available, enable a night button to route to the above vectors.

Thoughts on this?

Thanks,

You can put that person in a split and have them log in and out

02 queue-to split x pri m
03 goto step 04 if staffed-agents in split x <1
04 collect 4 digits after ann 7900
05 etc etc

Thanks for the suggestion. I was kind of looking for more of a solution that would use a night button. I'm not a whiz with the VDN's.

If no one else responds with alternative ideas, I just may make an auto attendant with voicemail and go that route instead of VDN.

Night buttons are only for attendant consoles. Is this for your attendant, or for stations?

Then, when you criticize them, you are a mile away ...
and you have their shoes.”

The main BTN is 8200. So maybe it would just be better to make it an attendant and then use an autoattendant in voicemail to accomplish the same thing, thus being able to use a night button.

Thoughts?
