Hi,

My network information is as follows:
1) I've got Novell 4.1 and 5.1 servers in my network.
2) The PCs are running Windows 98 and Netware client 3.2
3) I've got a VBScript that was created mainly for pure Windows 2000 environment. The purpose of this VBscript is to scan the PC for certain software.

What I want to know, without doing any extra heavy work, is there or is it possible to have the Novell Logon script to pick up my VBscript during the user logon script? If so, what do I need to do? Thanks in advance for your help.

Just add a line into the login script similar to the following (include the preceeding hash character #):

#L:\SOFTWARE\RUNME.EXE

The Hash will cause the login script to pause until the application has completed running and has terminated. Use the @ character if you do not want the login script to pause

Hi, I'm not sure what you meant? Could you be more specific as I'm new to Novell. Thanks in advance

You manage login scripts in either NWADMN32.EXE or CONSOLEONE. It's a property of the Container and/or user. Try not to use USER scripts. It's better to use container scripts.

Katchme, fwiw Novell is up to 3.4 in their Client32 software. You might want to upgrade your workstations to the new Client too.
