Can someone tell me of free development and debugging tools for vbscript. I am using notepad, however there is no numbering. Also, I am a Network Engineer. Are there free tutorials out that would help in this arena. All assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Search this forum for 'editor'.

I have two free programs that I like for scripting. Both feature syntax highlighting.

The first is GSNotepad Lite. (
The second is Context. ( This link seems to be dead at the moment. I can't imagine that the site is gone. I trust that it this only temporary, as the latest update to the program seems to have been released on the 27th of October.

The nice thing about both of these programs is that you can export the code to a Rich Text File, keeping the highlighting intact. This makes for nice documentation.

Good luck to you!
Dan

Thanks all for your suggestions. Do you think I need to be focusing on vb.net instead of vbscript?
