Hi

I am using Excel 2010. I have an odd thing happening where I select view Code and I can see and manipulate it (as I expected to). I try to password protect it and instead of the VBA Project dialog box showing which allows me to enter and re-enter a password to set it, I get the password box right away (like I would if it was already protected). I always use the same password and when I enter it, it says it is invalid. So I now can't seem to password protect my VBA.

Has anyone else heard of this issue? Thanks.

Hi

Just a further FYI is that if I select a brand new Excel workbook, then the VBE Project dialog box works as it should. The Excel 2010 document that I used for my current project did have a password but I can open that previous VBA project using the password I know it to be.

As mentioned, this isn't a case of where it's locked and I don't have the password, I can access the VBA code but when trying to apply a password so no one else can see it, I get prompted for a password that doesn't exist. Even entering in the password that was used in the original Excel workbook, it says its invalid.

Any help to figure this out would be great. Thanks.
