Whenever I try to use the Event Builder with a form Access crashes. It happens with all databases, whether they have any existing event code or not. The only error message I can get out is in the dialog box as Access is exiting:

Dialog Box title: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Text: Runtime Error!
Program: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11\MSACCESS.EXE
abnormal program termination

Does this mean the software is corrupt?
If so how can I fix it? (I've tried a repair install of office and updates already)

Sounds like the Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
is corrupt. Try reloading that library from your CD or finding it at the MS site and download it. Make sure you get the right version.

Good luck.

Thanks Bob and Richard

I'm sure you are both right.

Could you give me some pointers on how to find the Runtime Libraries. I didn't get anywhere searching the Microsoft website and there is nothing labelled as such on the installation disks.

I had this problem on two computers, I finally solved it on one by reinstalling Windows! (BTW I am running Access 2003 on WinXP Pro) But there is no guarantee that I have resolved the issue so it won't come back.

I keep my software bang up to date with all the security and update patches, so this is really driving me crazy.
