VBA back to REPORT - Rookie Question

I created a NEW value in a VBA Detail 'on Print' EVENT PROCEDURE. It will have a numeric value (name is MyTot).

How do I need to define MyTot in the VBA module to be able to reference it in an Unbound Text Box (name is PrtTot) in a Repor Footer ? I assume I would see it in the Properties>Data>Control>Source selection. If not, how would I refrence it to print it ?

i dont think you can change the value of a text box in the on print event put it in the on format event
