Newbie here... I've been told by some that it's much more complicated to do Accpac UI development in .NET than in VB6. Is that correct? I'd prefer to work in C# if it's practical. Would appreciate any advice on this.

If you are working in the Accpac SDK then you must use VB6 for the UI's, that's what the Accpac SDK tools are designed for.

We use pretty much all of those. We started using VB and slowly developed the libraries and tools for C#. Now we prefer doing all the work, including UI, in C# but it was initially very difficult and no help was available.

In the long run though we believe it was worth it for the additional ability it gave us to do net development. Unless you plan to do a LOT of programming I would suggest you stick to VB.

Hey Etienne, do you know where I can get a guide of some type to perform some development in vb6?

The SDK. In the SDK you will also find code samples etc. Also check the Developers forum on the ACCPAC forums.
