We have a vb app which uses 1 Access DB per client. The structure of each db is identical. The client db is selected by the VB app. When reports are run however, ONLY data from the original db on which the CReport was developed is displayed. (Using CRW8). How can I force it to use the same db the VB app is using?

Hello!
Try going to "Set Location" in CRW and stripping the tablename down to just the table name. In other words if there is any database information hardcoded in there, get rid of it. This works with ODBC and we are able to run any database (as long as the tables / fieldnames are the same). Hope it works for you.

Justine.

Hi Justine,

Thanks but it didn't work. I've got a "nasty" solution:
Rename working db to the report dev db, do the report then restore the name. Seems to work ok until I can work a better method.

Thanks again

Ted
