Project: Using vb6, open a pre-existing blank access database(2003) that has headers only and export to it a delimited text file.

Problem: Being new to VB6, I have NO IDEA what so ever on how to connect to database. I'm the kind of person that likes to try an solve a problem on my own, but in this case, the assignment is too overwhelming. I've searched the internet, and ran across topics like having jet driver 4.0, or using the DoCmd.TransferText Method, data emvironment thingee... but all this just makes me more confused. If anyone can help me guide me baby step wise I would be much obliged, I'm quite desperate now.

VB6 doesn't use DoCmd, that's VBA for Access. YOu need to research the connection and recordset objects for ADO. Create each object, set the appropriate properties, and you're off and running.

The data environment is another deal. I suggest you learn the above. Try googling on "ado overview". You'll find a whole bunch of stuff.
