vb net for shareware

Hi

I`m wondering if anyone is using vb net for shareware.
I`m concerned about the need for the user to download
the net framework. Is the current version of windows xp
shipping with the net framework. I thought about a year
ago xp didn`t ship with the framework.
Thanks for the advice.

XP SP1 cd comes with the framework in the disc, but you have to install it yourself.

SP2....framework is automatically installed?? not sure.
